FIER
In collaboration with Fier, a shelter for women who experience domestic abuse in The Netherlands,
this project represents a long series of workshops that took part in the journey of our collaboration.
Me and three other fellow Fine Art Photography students, created a series of workshops for young women who were sheltered there.
The aim of the workshops was to help them express themselves in other ways than just words.
As a result of the process, we created a photoshoot that was conducted by them, so they are represented in the way they want to be seen.
Guided by their instructions, we let them take full initiative on stylistic choices, content and post processing, while trying to keep them anonymous,
due to the nature of our restrictions.
